Time-To-Measure is short for “It’s time to measure the Temple of God, its altar and its worshipers” as foretold in Rev. 11:1. Nobody seems to be doing this job at the moment, so we propose to the brethren, who value their calling, that we do it collectively through this website in accordance to the principle that “iron sharpens iron” (Prov. 27:17) and the invitation from our LORD God to “Come now, and let us reason together” (Isa. 1:18).
Rationale
Thirty (30) years after the Worldwide Church of God had fallen away (2Thess. 2:1-4) and 34 years since the death of the end-time Elijah, Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA, 1986), the time to measure the church, its ministers and worshippers has finally come. The instruments in our hands are basically: the written Word of God; the truths restored through HWA and correct reasoning. We realize that God’s people today is in the last phase of their 40-year journey in wilderness, groping in the dark of spiritual night (1Thess. 5:1-5) in the day of the Lord (Amos 5:18-20) much like the Israelite experience before entering the promise land. Very soon “the desire of all nations” (Hag. 2:7) shall come and fill the church with glory. Therefore this measuring work will be urgent and short. This could end in seven (7) years at the appearance of the two witnesses (Rev. 11:3) just before the great tribulation begins (Matt. 24:21; Dan. 12:1).
There is then a need to expose and correct, as quickly as possible, the many strange doctrines introduced by the ministry after the death of HWA and cleanse the Church of such including those coming from the various “churches of God” splinter groups. No one man or two can do this easily, but if many would participate in identifying the errors, and the attention of the purveyors called, then cleansing could be done with ease and great effect.
Objectives
Through this website, we will endeavor to achieve three (3) things: 1) open the door to those brethren who for one reason or another have been wandering in spiritual wilderness without shepherds; 2) figure out and determine which among the various churches that came out of the WCG measures up to the desired qualities the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, is looking for; and 3) gather together the elect of God ready to be born into His Family. Hopefully, we can do these objectives before Christ’s visible coming.
To maintain its neutral stance, Time-To-Measure is not and shall not be affiliated with any CoG splinter group until the church that measures up to Christ’s standard is determined.
